BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has said on the rules not to take the family on the tour, the existing policy will remain intact. This country and our organization are important for both BCCI.

BCCI released a new policy after BGT After defeat at the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in Australia, BCCI released 10 new SOPs. In which the presence of family members during foreign tours was included for work time.
BCCI rules related to family
- Cricketers can keep their family together for a maximum of 14 days in more than 45 days of tour.
- Players can keep their family together for a maximum of one week on a period of less than 45 days.

Devjit Saikia became the BCCI secretary of ICC Chief Jai Shah. He will remain the Secretary till September 2025.

2. It will be necessary to play domestic cricket The players of the Indian team have been made mandatory to play in the domestic tournament. If a player does not play domestic cricket for some reason, then the board will have to inform the board. Also, permission will have to be obtained from the chairman of the selection committee.

- Long tour (over 30 days) players: 5 pieces (3 suitcases +2 kit bags) or up to 150 kg. Support Staff: 2 pieces (2 large +1 small suitcases) or up to 80 kg.
- Short tour (less than 30 days) players: 4 pieces (2 suitcases +2 kit bags) or up to 120 kg. Support Staff: 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or up to 60 kg.
- Home Series Player: 4 pieces (2 suitcases +2 kit bags) or up to 120 kg. Support Staff: 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or up to 60 kg.
4. Separate goods will have to be sent to Center of Excellence All players will have to contact the team management to send goods or personal items during the training cap in the Center of Excellence Bangalore. If an object is sent in different ways, then the coming extra cost will have to be raised.
5. No tour or series will have private staff The player’s private staff (eg- personal manager, chefs, assistants and security) will not go in any series or tour. The board does not get permission for this.

6. It is mandatory to be present in practice session Now every player will have to be present in the practice session. No practice will leave the session quickly. 7. No player will be able to advertise No player will be allowed a personal shoot in a series and tour. During this time no player will be able to advertise. The board has taken this decision so that the players do not distract.
8. Family does not have much time on foreign tour If a player lasts for 45 days on a foreign tour, his wife and a child younger than 18 years old can stay with him for 2 weeks in a series. During this time, BCCI will bear the expenses of their stay, but the rest of the expenses will have to be borne.
On the other hand, only after a conversation with the coach and the captain, anyone (family or any other) can come to the player on a final date. At the same time, if a player breaks the rules, then the coach, captain and GM operation will be responsible for it. The player will bear the expenses after the deadline ends.

9. Must participate in official shoots and functions Every player will have to participate in BCCI’s official shoot, promotion and any other program. This decision has been taken for the promotion of the game and the benefit of stakeholders.
10. Players will not be able to come home soon when the series is over Every player will have to live with the team until the tour is over. The player will have to live with the team even when the series is over. Each player will return to the scheduled date along with the team. During this time no player will be able to go home soon. This decision has been taken for team bonding.
Warning of strict action on not accepting guidelines The board has instructed all the players to strictly follow the guidelines. Not only this, disciplinary action has also been warned if the rules are not followed. If a player is unable to follow any instructions, then he will have to take permission from the chairman and head coach of the selection committee.
If a player breaks the rules, the board will not let it play in tournaments, series and even IPL. Apart from this, the board can also eliminate the salary of the players and their contracts.
