In the 15th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) season-3, Gujarat giants defeated UP Warriz by 81 runs. This is the team’s third win in the season. Beth Muni from Gujarat scored 96 and Harleen Deol scored 45 runs. Kashvi Gautam and Tanuja Kanwar got 3-3 wickets.
UP chose bowling on Monday at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Gujarat scored 186 runs losing 5 wickets. In response, the UP team was all out for 105 runs. Shinele Henry scored 28 runs.
Muni-Harleen made a century partnership After losing the toss, Gujarat lost to batting first, lost the wicket of Dayalan Hemlata in the first over. Hemlata could score only 2 runs. Beth Muni again imposed a fifty and partnered 101 runs with Harleen Deol. Harleen was dismissed for 45 runs.

UP’s very poor start The UP Warrjer started chasing a big target of 187 runs. The team lost 2 wickets in the first over. Kiran Navagire and Georgia wall account could not even open. Vrinda Dinesh 1, captain Deepti Sharma 6 and Shweta Sehrawat were dismissed for 5 runs. The team lost 5 wickets for 36 runs.
Diandra Dotin took 2 wickets in the first over of the innings.
Opener Grace Harris 25, wicketkeeper Uma Chhetri 17 and Shinele Henry were dismissed for 28 runs. Sophie Acleston handled one end, but he did not meet at another end. Gauhar Sultana could not even open an account. Ekleston was dismissed for 14 and the team was reduced to 105 runs in 17.1 overs.

Gujarat reached third number After defeating UP by a big margin of 81 runs, the team of Gujarat giants reached number three in the points table. The team pushed UP Warriz at number five. Delhi is at number one with 10 points. Mumbai is second and Bengaluru is at number four.
