The Madhya Pradesh High Court has given major interim relief to the economically weaker section (EWS) candidates on Monday. In this, Candidates of EWS class in Civil Services Examination-2025 (UPSC), like other reserved classes, 5 years relaxation in age limit and 9 times

In this case, UPSC can present its reply in the High Court on Tuesday. This is not the final decision, the matter remains to be heard.

Please tell that Aditya Narayan Pandey of Maihar, Madhya Pradesh had filed a petition in the High Court and demanded relief for the EWS Candidate.

Till now the candidates of EWS class were not given a relaxation in age limit and they could give a maximum of 6 attitude.

Let us know that in 2025, the preliminary examination of UPSC for 979 posts will be held on 25 May.

Relief is also given in MP Teacher Recruitment Examination The case was advocated by senior advocate Kapil Sibal through video conferencing. He cited the order of 10 February, which mentioned the advocate of advocate Dheeraj Tiwari.

Earlier, in the Madhya Pradesh Teacher Selection Examination 2024, the Division Bench of the High Court gave relief to the EWS class. The High Court made a provision of 5 years exemption to EWS candidates on the basis of Article 14 and 16 of the Constitution, so that candidates up to 45 years will be able to participate in the examination.

High Court said- Accept the application of the candidate The High Court has asked the UPSC to accept the applications of all the same conditions including the petitioner, even if they do not meet the current qualification or age norms. This decision is based on the principles of social justice and equality, so that the candidates of EWS class will get equal opportunities for other reserved classes. However, the court also said that the final appointment orders would not be issued without its permission.

Impact of decision: EWS candidates will get benefit

  • After the High Court’s decision in both cases, EWS candidates will get an opportunity for 9 atampt instead of 6.
  • In UPSC, CSE-2025, EWS candidates will get 5 years relaxation in the same age as other reserved classes.
  • EWS candidates up to 45 years will be able to appear in the recruitment examination.
  • Candidates who were deprived of the first age limit and atampt limit will now be able to apply.
