The 38th National Games is starting from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate these games running till 14 February on Tuesday. 9800 players will participate in 36 games in these games lasting for the next 15 days.
2,025 school students will start the opening ceremony through Shankhanad. In this, students of Gurukul, Sanskrit University, School and College of the state will perform live by playing conch shells. For the first time all the events will be in the same state The first state will be the first state to organize all the events of the Uttarakhand National Games in its own state. In all the National Games held so far, any state has to move to Delhi for shotgun, shooting and cycling event. All events of national sports will be held in Uttarakhand itself.
28 states and union territories are participating The National Games to be held in Uttarakhand are participating in 28 states, some union territories and 38 teams from services. Andhra Pradesh is participating in around 19 and Andaman 5 Games. Apart from this, the states are participating in Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladhakh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Panducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan etc.
