Staff Selection Commission has canceled the typing test of Combined Graduation Level (SSC CGL 2024). Now this test will be taken again on 31 January 2025 at 1 pm.

The Commission said in the notification, the typing test (Data Entry Speed ​​Test) held on January 18, 2025 has been rescheduled.

Commission said- there were technical glitches in the test

This test was taken in two shifts on January 18. According to the notice of the Commission, this decision has been taken because many technical glitches were found during the typing test on January 18, hence the test to be taken during Shift-II has been cancelled.

For this, new admit cards will be issued on January 27 on the official website ssc.gov.in.

Additional result of Tier-1 was released on 17 January

Staff Selection Commission has released the additional result of SSC CGL 2024 Tier-1 on 17 January. Candidates who have appeared in the Combined Graduation Level (CGL) Tier-1 examination can check their result by visiting the official website sss.gov.in.

A total of 18,436 candidates were shortlisted in the first list of Tier-I result (Junior Statistics Officer). For List-2 (Statistics Investigator Gr.II) 2833 candidates were shortlisted for Tier-II paper. Whereas, in List-3, a total of 1,65,240 candidates were shortlisted for Tier-II (Paper-I).

The Commission said that the candidates who have been shortlisted can appear for Tier-II examination. Tier-II exam was held on January 20, 2025.

In the official notification issued on January 17, the Commission wrote, ‘Now a total of 25+500 i.e. 525 candidates of Combined Level Examination, 2024 are being allowed to appear in Tier-2 of the examination to be held on January 20, 2025. ‘

Selection will be done in Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ category

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had released the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2024 Tier-1 result on December 5. Candidates shortlisted in Tier-1 exam will appear in Tier-2. A total of 17,727 posts will be filled in Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ categories through this exam.

1,86,509 candidates qualified in Tier-2

This time a total of 1,86,509 candidates were qualified in SSC CGL Tier-1, these candidates will now give Tier-2 exam. The minimum qualifying marks for SSC CGL Tier 1 will be as follows:

  • General Category: 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • All other categories: 20%

SSC CGL Tier-2 exam will be conducted on 18, 19 and 20 January 2025.

Tier-1 exam is of 200 marks.

SSC CGL Tier-1 exam consists of 100 objective questions (MCQs). Which are divided into four sections. Means for General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. Each section had 25 questions of 50 marks, total paper is of 200 marks.

2 marks are given for every answer, while 0.5 marks are deducted for every wrong answer. This exam was of 60 minutes.
