Vidarbha captain Karun Nair has scored 752 runs in the current season of Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Vidarbha made it to the final of Vijay Hazare Trophy for the first time. The team defeated Maharashtra by 69 runs in the semi-finals played in Vadodara on Thursday. Batting first, Vidarbha scored 380 runs losing 3 wickets, in reply Maharashtra team could score only 311 runs.

Vidarbha will face Karnataka in the final on February 18. Karnataka defeated Haryana in the semi-finals and made it to the title match for the 5th time. The team has won 4 titles before this. On the other hand, Vidarbha is already waiting for the Vijay Hazare title.

Openers gave excellent start to Vidarbha Maharashtra won the toss and chose bowling at Kotambi Stadium. Vidarbha got an excellent start by the opening pair of Dhruv Shorey and Yash Rathore. Both of them batted till the 35th over and made a partnership of 224 runs. Yash was out after scoring 116 runs and the partnership between the two broke. Dhruv again could not last long and was out after scoring 114 runs. He could only add 21 runs for the second wicket with captain Karun Nair, who came at number-3.
