These days, ‘IITwale Baba’ or ‘Engineer Baba’ is becoming quite viral on social media. This Baba has come to Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela and people are getting very attracted by his talks.
Actually, this IIT Baba is Abhay Singh, resident of Haryana. He claims that he has studied Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay and after that he went to Canada for a job.
The journey is like that of Farhan from 3 Idiots.
According to Abhay himself, he stayed in Mumbai for about 4 years to study at IIT Bombay. During this time, his interest in photography and arts increased. This phase of Abhay’s life was similar to Farhan’s phase in the film 3 Idiots.
After completing engineering, he got a job through campus placement and for that Abhay went to Canada. But he distanced himself from engineering for his passion for photography. After this, Abhay also did a professional course in travel photography and this course completely changed Abhay’s life.
Abhay says, ‘The travel photography course changed my philosophy about life.’ After doing the course, Abhay opened a physics coaching center which started doing well. Despite this academic success, he was not satisfied with life. During this time, his interest moved towards spirituality and Abhay decided to dedicate his life to finding the truth related to life.

Abhay’s logical talks in Kumbh have attracted everyone’s attention. His following on Insta has also increased in the last few days. Currently more than 88,000 people follow him.
Abhay speaks in English to the journalists covering the Kumbh, presents the knowledge of spirituality mixed with science and remains in simple attire. This is the main reason for his popularity. On social media, he talks about meditation, yoga, spiritual practice and old sutras.
The family wants Abhay to return home
Abhay Singh’s father Karan Girewal, who lives in Jhajjar, Haryana, is a lawyer. Talking about his son, he says, ‘The family wants Abhay to return home. But after achieving so much, it will not be easy for him to return.
Karan Girewal tells that Abhay has always been very good in studies. After studying from IIT, he worked in Delhi and Canada but did not feel like it. He was always inclined towards spirituality and that is why he often visited places like Shimla, Dharamshala and Mussoorie. Finally one day Abhay decided to become a monk.
The father says, ‘I was in touch with Abhay till 6 months ago but after that he blocked all of us.’
grew up watching parents fight
While talking to a media house, Abhay Singh said that domestic violence had a deep impact on him.
He says that his parents often quarreled and beat each other. To stay away from this, he used to study all the time. Studying was a way for him to escape from the conflicts at home.
The fights between his parents had such a deep impact on Abhay that he decided not to marry for the rest of his life.
