IPL franchise Punjab Kings has appointed Shreyas Iyer as the new captain. The franchise bought him for Rs 26.75 crore in the mega auction 2 months ago.
30-year-old Iyer had led Kolkata Knight Riders to the title under his captaincy last season. He has also captained Delhi Capitals. Shreyas will soon reunite with head coach Ricky Ponting to take charge of the team.
