KL Rahul played his last ODI match on 4 August 2024 against Sri Lanka.

BCCI has asked Indian wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul to play in the three-match ODI series against England in February. He was earlier rested from the home T20 and ODI series played against England.

Initially, the decision was taken to rest him till the Champions Trophy, a source told The Times of India. But, now BCCI has asked to play in the ODI series, so that they can play some matches before the Champions Trophy to be held in February.

Team India has to play two series against England just before the Champions Trophy. The first is the T-20 series, which has 5 matches. Whereas a total of 3 matches will be played in the ODI series.

Rahul played in all the matches of Border-Gavaskar In the Border-Gavaskar series held in Australia, KL Rahul was included in the playing eleven of all five Test matches. Rahul had scored 276 runs at an average of 30.66. Which includes 2 half-centuries.

Karnataka remained out of the team even from Vijay Hazare Trophy Rahul also decided to stay out of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Karnataka team will play the quarter final match against Vadodara on 11th January i.e. today. Rahul will not play in this. Even if the Karnataka team progresses by winning the quarter-finals, they will not take part in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
