Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs in the final of Champions Trophy 2017.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been selected to host India’s matches in the Champions Trophy. This information has been given to PTI by a source of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Dubai has been chosen as the neutral venue after the meeting between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and UAE Minister Sheikh Nahyan Al Mubarak on Saturday night.
If Team India qualifies for the knockouts then the semi-finals and final will also be held in Dubai.
In the ICC meeting on Thursday, December 19, it was decided that India will play the Champions Trophy matches at a neutral venue instead of Pakistan. Also, Pakistani team will not come to India for all the tournaments to be held in India till 2027. Its matches will also be held at neutral venues.
The 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup is to be held in India, the T-20 World Cup in 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.
5 out of 15 matches will be held in UAE The tournament of 15 matches between 8 teams is to start from 19 February and continue till 9 March. However, ICC has not announced the schedule yet. India will play all three of its group stage matches in UAE. If India qualifies, a semi-final and final will also be played here. Whereas the remaining 10 matches of the tournament can be held in Pakistan. PCB put forward 4-5 demands in the meeting, but ICC rejected most of the demands.
Pakistan team came to India for ODI World Cup Pakistan team came to India last year to play the ODI World Cup. Then the match between India and Pakistan was played in Ahmedabad on 14 October. The Indian team won this match by 7 wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer had scored fifties. Jasprit Bumrah became the player of the match. He took 2 wickets for 19 runs.

- Pakistan came to India to play bilateral series in 2013: Pakistan last toured India in 2012-13. In that tour, a bilateral series of 3 ODIs and 2 T20 matches was played. Pakistan won the ODI series 2-1, while the T-20 series was tied at 1-1.
The last bilateral series between India and Pakistan took place in January 2013. Since then both the teams have faced each other only in ICC and ACC tournaments.

After the terrorist attacks on Mumbai in 2008, the Indian government refused to play cricket in Pakistan. Since then both the teams play only in ICC and ACC tournaments. Since 2013, both the teams have played 13 ODIs and 8 T20 matches at neutral venues. There was also a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in Pakistan during 2009.
