The first semi-final match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) is being played between Mumbai and Baroda at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. At present, the game has been stopped due to rain.
By the time the game was stopped, Baroda, batting first, had scored 10 runs without loss in one over. Shashwat Rawat returned unbeaten on 2 and Abhimanyu Singh Rajput on 7 runs.
Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl. On this, captain Shreyas Iyer said- ‘In the last few matches, we have performed well by bowling first and will continue the same.’
The second semi-final match of the tournament will be played between Delhi and Madhya Pradesh in Bengaluru at 4:30 pm.
