The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has prepared for a change in the National Selection Committee. Former Indian fast bowler Rudra Pratap Singh and left -arm spinner Pragyan Ojha will be included in the National Selection Committee.
RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha have been asked to apply for the post of selector. The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC )’s BCCI’s annual general meeting (AGM) is likely to approve the names of these two.
Subroto Banerjee and S Sharath will be removed from the current selection committee. Former Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar is the Chief Selector. RP Singh will become selector from Central Zone.
BCCI sought applications for the post of selectors last month BCCI last month asked for applications for the posts of two National Selectors. According to media reports, no big face showed any interest to become selector.
Former Indian fast bowler Praveen Kumar applied for the post. Apart from him, former Uttar Pradesh fast bowler Ashish Winston Zaidi and other candidates from Shakti Singh Central Zone of Himachal Pradesh were there.
RP Singh was a member of the team winning 2007 T-World Cup RP Singh has been a member of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup winning team. He has played 82 international matches, in which he took 124 wickets. These include 14 Tests, 58 ODIs and 10 T20s. Apart from this, he was also part of the team winning the Ranji Trophy of Gujarat under the captaincy of Parthiv Patel in 2016-17.

Pragyan Ojha has taken 144 wickets Pragyan Ojha is being made selector from the South Zone. Ojha took 144 international wickets in his career, out of which 113 came in Test cricket. His last international match was also the last Test of veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar, in which Ojha took 10 wickets. Ojha performed brilliantly in domestic cricket for Hyderabad and also played for Bengal and Bihar. He will replace S Sharat.

Changes in Junior Selection Committee: S Sharat will now become the chairman of the Junior Selection Committee and will replace Tilak Naidu.
