1. Malayalam singer and National Award winner ‘P. Jayachandran passed away
Legendary Malayalam singer and National Award winner P Jayachandran has passed away at the age of 80. He was a well-known voice in Malayalam as well as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi cinema. He started his singing career in 1965. In 1986, he was awarded the National Film Award for Best Playback Singer.
On January 9, Jayachandran breathed his last in a private hospital in Thrissur, Kerala.
2. India’s passport ranking slipped five places
India’s passport has reached 85th position in the Henley Passport Index. According to the index, Indian passport holders can now travel to 57 countries without a visa. India is sharing this ranking with Equatorial Guinea and Niger.
At the same time, the ranking of neighboring country Pakistan is 103rd. Singapore has topped the list of the world’s most powerful passports for the second consecutive year.
This year, India’s ranking has slipped five places, which was earlier at 80th position.

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has issued notification for recruitment to more than four hundred and fifty conductor posts in Rajasthan State Transport. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website rssb.rajasthan.gov.in.
Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed 12th from a recognized board.
- Driving license and badge will be required.

1. CBSE released CTET result
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the result of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Candidates can check the final result by visiting the official website ctet.nic.in.
To pass the exam, candidates will need at least 60% marks and for reserved category it will be 55%. However, school management can give further relaxation to SC, ST, OBC, Divyang etc. as per the existing reservation policy.
2. JEE Advanced attempts will not increase
The Supreme Court today rejected the petition to increase the number of attempts for JEE Advanced exam from 2 to 3. The court said that the court will uphold the decision of the Joint Admission Board i.e. JAB. However, the Supreme Court has given one-time relaxation to the students who have filed a petition in the court to appear in the examination to be held this year.
3. The youth who came for Agniveer recruitment spent the cold night under the open sky.
Agniveer recruitment rally has started in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from today i.e. 10th January. Meanwhile, a video is going viral on social media.
In this video, the candidates are seen forced to spend the night on the ground in the cold outside the stadium. These candidates from different districts of the state had reached Lucknow to take part in Agniveer Recruitment. When they could not find any place to stay, they decided to spend the night under the open sky.
