Legendary Malayalam singer and National Award winner P Jayachandran has passed away at the age of 80. He was a well-known voice in Malayalam as well as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi cinema. India’s passport has reached 85th position in the Henley Passport Index. According to the index, Indian passport holders can now travel to 57 countries without a visa. India is sharing this ranking with Equatorial Guinea and Niger.

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has issued notification for recruitment to more than four hundred and fifty conductor posts in Rajasthan State Transport. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website rssb.rajasthan.gov.in.

1. CBSE released CTET result

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the result of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Candidates can check the final result by visiting the official website ctet.nic.in.

To pass the exam, candidates will need at least 60% marks and for reserved category it will be 55%. However, school management can give further relaxation to SC, ST, OBC, Divyang etc. as per the existing reservation policy.

The Supreme Court today rejected the petition to increase the number of attempts for JEE Advanced exam from 2 to 3. The court said that the court will uphold the decision of the Joint Admission Board i.e. JAB. However, the Supreme Court has given one-time relaxation to the students who have filed a petition in the court to appear in the examination to be held this year.
