Donald Trump, who won the US Presidential Election, will be sworn in as the 47th President of America on January 20, 2025.

Before this, from time to time he is announcing the names of people to lead the main departments of the government. Currently, four of those holding key positions in the government are of Indian origin. These include Vivek Ramaswamy, Kashyap Kash Patel, Jai Bhattacharya and Usha Vance.

1. Vivek Ramaswamy will handle DOGE

Donald Trump has appointed Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk as the heads of the Department of Government Efficiency i.e. DOGE. This is a new department whose objective is to reduce government expenses by one third.

For this, time has been given till July 4, 2026. 37-year-old Vivek Ramaswamy is an Indian-origin American industrialist, writer and politician.

2. Kashyap Kash Patel can turn around the FBI

Kashyap Kash Patel has been made the next director of FBI i.e. Federal Bureau of Investigation. 44 year old Kash Patel is a lawyer by profession.

3. Jai Bhattacharya will handle America’s Health Department

Jayant Bhattacharya or Jai Bhattacharya is a physician and economist educated at Stanford University. Donald Trump has chosen him to lead the National Institute of Health.

4. Usha Vance, the first woman of Indian origin to become Second Lady.

Usha Vance is the wife of JD Vance, who is going to become the Vice President of America. This means that soon she will be the Second Lady of the United States.
