1. BSF starts operation ‘Sard Hawa’
The Border Security Force (BSF) has started Operation ‘Sard Hawa’ on the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan. This operation is being conducted in view of Republic Day.
Under this operation, all BSF soldiers and officers will maintain vigil on the border till January 29 and will monitor it with modern weapons. The objective of Operation ‘Sard Hawa’ is to prevent any kind of infiltration and undesirable activities during the winter season.
2. Shawn Curran becomes director of US Secret Service
US President Donald Trump has selected Shawn Curran as the director of the Secret Service on January 22. Shawn, a resident of New York, started his career as a special agent in the Newark Field Office of the Secret Service.

Joint Indian Coast Guard has issued recruitment notification for 300 posts including Sailor General Duty (GD) in ICG. Its applications will start from 11 February 2025. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in. The last date to apply for this is 25 February 2025.

- Sailor (General Duty): 12th pass
- Sailor (Domestic Duty): 10th pass

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has invited applications for the posts of Dental Surgeon. Applications for this recruitment will start from 21 February 2025. 1. 6 students committed suicide in Kota in 17 days
The trend of suicide of students continues in Kota. On January 22, two more students committed suicide here. Among them, 23 year old Afsha was a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat and she was preparing for NEET here. Whereas, 18 year old Parag had come from Assam to prepare for Kota JEE.
A total of 6 suicides have taken place in Kota in the last 17 days, out of which 5 were JEE aspirants. Let us tell you that JEE Mains exam has started from 22nd January.
2. Registration of CUET UG 2025 will be till 1st February
NTA has started the registration process of CUET PG 2025. Candidates can fill the form for this by visiting exams.nta.ac.in till 1st February.
Its correction window will be opened between 3rd to 5th February. After this, its exam will be held between 13th to 31st March. Its city intimation slip will be issued in the first week of March.
