2. Shubhanshu Shukla will go to International Space Station on 8 June

Under the Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla Axiom Mission 4, now the International Space Station (ISS) will go on 8 June. Earlier this mission was to be held on 29 May, but now the launch schedule has changed.

  • Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has been selected for this mission under the agreement between NASA and ISRO.
  • The crew of the Axiom 4 mission includes members of India, Poland and Hungary.
  • Slavose Uznansky will be the second Astronaut of Poland to Space after 1978.
  • Tibor Kapu will be the second Astronaut of Hungary to Space after 1980.
  • This is the second commercial human space flight mission of Paigi Whitson of American.

1. UPSC exam calendar 2026 released

On May 15, Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC has released a calendar of examinations to be held in the year 2026. The Civil Service Prelims Examination will be held on May 24, 2026, while the Mains exam will start from August 21, 2026. The notification of UPSC CSE 2026 will be released on 14 January and the process of 3 February will begin.

The National Defense Academy (NDA) and Combined Defense Services (CDS) examinations will be held on April 12, 2026.

2. Himachal Pradesh Board 10th exam results released On May 15, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education i.e. HPBOSE has released the result of 10th board examination. Saina Thakur, a student of Newgal Model Public Senior Secondary School in Kangra district, has topped the exam with 696 or 99.43% marks.
